Why the Red Sea is so special
The Red Sea is not a beginner destination in a bad way — it's a destination that offers something for every level. An Open Water diver enjoys the reef fish at 10 meters. An advanced diver dives the Thistlegorm at 30 meters — one of the most famous wrecks in the world.
What sets the Red Sea apart is its consistency. Visibility of 25–40 meters is normal. Water temperatures above 24°C are normal. The chance of seeing a hammerhead shark at Ras Mohammed is real — not guaranteed, but real.
Gennaro has been diving here for 35 years. He knows the sites most tourists never see — beyond the standard safaris.

Whale shark, manta ray, dolphins in open water — the Maldives reward the diver who is in the right place at the right time. Gennaro knows when that is.
Diving in the Maldives
The Maldives are not a one-time visit destination. Gennaro returned multiple times — because each atoll is different, and because the fauna is highly seasonal. You don't see the whale shark on command. The manta rays appear in places you need to know in advance.
Current is a factor that can surprise beginners. On many sites, you go on drift dives — you let yourself be carried by the current and enjoy what passes by. Not technically difficult, but it requires comfort in open water.
Liveaboard provides access to the best sites — far from the tourist hotspots. Resort-based diving is calmer and suitable for those who also want to snorkel and relax.

Bohol & Balicasag — biodiversity at its best
Bohol is the starting point for those who want to get to know the Philippines. Panglao island offers a varied range of dive sites — from shallow reefs full of turtles to drop-offs that descend to 60 meters. Balicasag, a small island 20 minutes by boat, is one of the best coral reefs in the Philippines.
The Philippines is the center of the Coral Triangle — the area with the greatest marine biodiversity on Earth. What lives here you won't find anywhere else: pygmy seahorses on gorgonians, frogfish disguised as coral, nudibranchs in unexpected forms.
For those who want wrecks: Coron in northern Palawan hosts one of the most spectacular WWII wreck graveyards in the world — worth a separate trip.

The epicenter of the Coral Triangle. More species of coral and fish in one place than anywhere else in the world. For the diver who wants to go beyond standard destinations.
Raja Ampat —
biodiversity without equal
Raja Ampat — "Four Kings" — is an archipelago of over 1,500 islets in western West Papua, Indonesia. Scientists counted over 600 species of coral and 1,700 species of reef fish here. These are not abstract numbers — you notice it immediately in the water.
The destinations in Raja Ampat are spread over a large area. Most are accessible via liveaboard — a week on a dive boat, new sites every day. The logistics are more complex than the Red Sea or Maldives, but the reward is proportional.
This is a destination for those who already dive and want to go further. Not for the first dive trip — but for the trip that will stay with you the longest.

Bonaire is the shore diving paradise of the Caribbean. Shore diving at 50+ sites, directly from the beach. The reef is at 10–15 meters depth — clear, colorful, full of life. Ideal for those who want to dive without a boat.
Cenotes of Yucatán are underground freshwater caves with visibility that defies belief — up to 100 meters in some cenotes. The water is a constant 24°C. The light effects through the openings are photographically phenomenal.
Cabo Pulmo is a marine reserve in Baja California — one of the most restored marine ecosystems in the world. The schooling fish gather in formations that surround divers. An extraordinary experience for those seeking biodiversity without the crowds.
